My childhood in the mountains of Idaho cultivated a deep appreciation for living close to nature and the beauty of the natural world. As a child, I was inspired by my grandfather. After working a full day on the ranch taking care of Long-Horn Cattle and his favorite Quarter horses he would go to his workshop to tool leather, create jewelry & sculptures out of metal and fire. As a young girl, I recall the hours spent together at his bench. My grandfather inspired me to create and I have always admired his impact as a local folk artist.
As an artist, my inspirations come from continuing this legacy of creation. I have always been drawn to silver smithing and took my first class at 15. Since moving to Utah, I continue to find inspiration in the relationship between the earthly and ethereal through my craft.
Established in 2024, Silver Mountain MetalSmith celebrates this reverence, as I lovingly incorporate a variety of natural stones, leather, materials & silver to design hand-forged jewelry. The creative process offers a simultaneously meditative and enlivening practice. I especially love to collaborate with fellow artisans and clients to foster connection and create heirloom pieces that can be enjoyed for a lifetime.
